Pineridge Waku A string of 10 Indian ponies in all colors stand on a bluff, sunning themselves on one of those sunny days when the sky is blue and the air still enough to hear the bees buzz. Summer on the Plains - a true gift (= waku). The ponies also hold deeper meaning in that they represent the colors red, white, yellow and black (the 4 major races, the 4 major directions), and one of them has on his forehead a marking in the shape of a left hand, symbol of a blessing. |
